FAQ’s

What happens if I don’t use a Taxi or Festival Bus System? Unfortunately you will be not be able to enter the festival. You will be stopped by Police.

Why the charter bus system? It avoids congestion and enhances safety on the highway for everyone. This system was put in place by authorities to avoid being picked up/dropped off and walking along the highway…which is obviously dangerous. This is an important part of our transport plan which enables us to run the festival.

Why the transport wristband? It helps us identify if you have arrived to the festival in the correct way. If you aren’t camping a transport wristband is necessary for entry to the festival.

Why can’t we get dropped off or get picked up directly at the festival? The festival is linked to a busy highway and therefore thousands of patrons entering the site would cause traffic congestion. This is enforced not only for the safety of our Piney patrons but others travelling on the roads. If you attempt to do so Police will direct you to the Nambour Showgrounds shuttle bus.

Are all buses return trips? Yes

Can I use a taxi or Uber? Either, however taxis can go directly to the festival while Ubers must use the designated drop off location at Nambour Showgrounds, where you will catch the shuttle bus to the festival.

Can I drive to the festival if I am camping? Yes, camping patrons park next to their tents as usual. However once your car is parked you will be unable to move it until you depart on Sunday

Do I need to book a bus if I am camping? No, you can walk from the festival campgrounds to the festival site. If you are joining your camp friends at a later time which have already set up camp, the best way to arrive is via Taxi or Nambour Showgrounds shuttle bus (available on Saturday)

What if I’m a local resident? Please book the Woombye bus service which has been recently added to the bus service

Public Buses? Are not an option to travel to the event because they will NOT take you to the bus locations where you can enter the festival.

Do Not Drink and Drive! Plan your return trip responsibly.
